Website Terms
These terms explain how you may use our Australian gaming guide, what our editorial information can and cannot do, and what to keep in mind when following links to other services. Please read them before using the site.
Effective 20 October 2026
1. About these terms
Aussie Play Route publishes general editorial information and comparisons at aussieplayroute.com. These terms apply whenever you browse, read, share or otherwise use our pages. By continuing to use the site, you agree to follow these conditions. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
Our guide does not host games, accept deposits, process wagers or operate any third-party platform. We describe and compare publicly available entertainment services; we are not a venue, broker or payment intermediary. A link or mention is provided for information and does not create a customer relationship between you and us for a third-party product.
Read these terms together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Those documents explain information handling and browser preferences. Each external provider has separate terms, privacy notices and support arrangements, which apply if you visit or use that provider’s service.
2. Responsible website use
You may browse for personal information, compare listed features and share links to public pages. You may quote a short passage with clear attribution, subject to the intellectual-property terms below and any rights that cannot be limited by contract. Please link to the original page so readers can find its context and any later corrections.
Use the site lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with other visitors. You must not:
- disrupt, overload or attempt to compromise the site, its hosting or another visitor’s access;
- scrape or harvest personal information, or use automated requests in a way that materially burdens the service;
- impersonate a person or organisation, misrepresent your relationship with us, or submit content that is unlawful, threatening, defamatory or infringing;
- probe or bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, or try to gain unauthorised access to any system;
- use feedback or site content to promote gambling, age-restricted products or other restricted activity.
We may remove unlawful or abusive submissions and take proportionate steps to protect the site, visitors and our legal rights. These terms do not endorse or authorise advertising that breaches a platform’s rules. For context, Google publishes its own advertising policies at support.google.com/adspolicy; that external policy is controlled by Google and may change.
3. Content and intellectual property
Unless a page says otherwise, our original editorial prose, page organisation and site presentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may read and print pages for personal use and share a link. A brief attributed quotation is permitted to the extent allowed by law, provided it is accurate, not misleading and does not substitute for the original article.
Reproducing a substantial part of an article, republishing our comparison tables, adapting our editorial work for commercial use or presenting it as your own requires written permission. Send a request to [email protected] with the page, material, proposed use and attribution. We will consider the request and any applicable statutory exceptions.
Names, logos, game titles, artwork and other marks belonging to platform or game publishers remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance helps identify a service and does not imply that its owner sponsors, approves or is affiliated with Aussie Play Route. Third-party rights may apply even where our commentary discusses a publicly available product.
4. Editorial comparisons and affiliate links
Our editorial comparisons consider factors such as content variety, usability, navigation, accessibility, available features and the overall visitor experience. We use these factors to organise information for readers; they are not a formal certification, laboratory test or promise that a service will suit every person or device.
Some outbound links may be affiliate links. If a reader follows one and makes a qualifying purchase or takes another eligible action, the site may receive a commission at no additional cost to that reader. We disclose affiliate relationships where such links appear. Compensation can support editorial work, but it does not make a provider suitable for every visitor and does not change the need to check current provider terms.
Ordering is an editorial guide, not a guarantee of quality, safety, availability or value. We may select services using the factors above and the information we can review at the time. Our pages are not an exhaustive survey of the market, and an unlisted provider should not be understood as a negative recommendation.
5. External platforms
A link takes you away from our site. Third parties control their own websites, products, account requirements, transactions, customer support and privacy practices. We do not manage or verify a third party’s service on an ongoing basis, and we cannot change its content, security measures, fees or operating decisions.
Before using an external service, check directly with the provider:
- whether the service is currently available to people in Australia and whether your state or territory has additional restrictions;
- age ratings, device and accessibility support, account requirements, subscriptions and any optional purchases;
- the total price, renewal dates, cancellation process, refund terms and support contact details;
- how the provider collects and uses information, and what permissions its app or website requests.
These details can change after we publish a page. Use official provider information for a current decision. We include external destinations only where we have a verified destination available for that listing; a general mention may appear without a link when we cannot confirm a suitable destination.
6. Accuracy and legal limitations
We take care when preparing editorial material, but features, prices, age ratings, availability and provider policies can change. Dates and descriptions are snapshots of the information reviewed, not a live feed or promise of uninterrupted accuracy. Confirm important details on the provider’s current official pages before acting.
Site content is general information, not individual purchasing, legal, financial or safety advice. It is not a recommendation that you buy a product or use a particular service, and it cannot account for your needs, circumstances or local restrictions. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, free from errors or compatible with every device or browser.
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude conditions, warranties and liability that may otherwise apply to the site or its general information. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited only to the extent the law permits. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or another mandatory law. You retain those protections regardless of any general limitation above.
We are not responsible for a third party’s independent acts or service changes, subject always to rights and remedies that applicable law gives you. Nothing here removes a right to pursue a claim in a court or tribunal with proper jurisdiction.
7. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. The choice of law does not prevent you from relying on a non-excludable right under the law of your state or territory, or from bringing a matter before a court or regulator that is competent to hear it.
If you have a concern about our site or an editorial page, contact the editors first and identify the page, the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will review the concern and respond through the contact channel below. This practical first step does not limit a statutory complaint, court proceeding or other remedy available to you.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms take effect on 20 October 2026. We may revise them when the site, applicable requirements or our editorial practices change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date so you can see when the wording was updated.
A revision applies to use of the site from its stated effective date. It does not remove rights or remedies that accrued before the change, or statutory protections that continue to apply. Please review this page from time to time if you regularly use the guide. Continued use after a revised version takes effect indicates acceptance of the updated terms to the extent the law recognises that acceptance.
